Besmirched Frame

The Besmirched Frame is a purchasable Nightreign relic item obtained in Roundtable Hold. It appears in the Small Jar Bazaar inventory once the Duchess has been unlocked as a playable Nightfarer, and costs 1,500 Murk. Acquiring the item unlocks the Besmirched Frame relic and enables an interaction with the Revenant ghost at Roundtable Hold that lets the player challenge the Night Idol.

The relic grants a passive offensive benefit: taking attacks increases the wielder’s attack power, turning incoming hits into a temporary damage-scaling advantage. In addition to its offensive mechanic, the item provides +3 Faith while equipped, which can support faith-scaling spells or weapons that rely on that attribute.

Practical notes and usage

• Purchase requirements: the Duchess must be unlocked as a playable Nightfarer before the Small Jar Bazaar will list the Besmirched Frame. The listed price is 1,500 Murk.
• Effect interaction: the attack-boost triggers from receiving hits; it is best used by builds that can safely trade hits or capitalize on short windows of increased attack power (for example, burst-damage follow-ups after tanking an unavoidable strike).
• Stat bonus: the modest +3 Faith is useful for marginally increasing faith-scaling damage or meeting minimum requirements for certain incantations and faith-armed weapons.
• NPC/quest linkage: purchasing the item also unlocks the ability to challenge the Night Idol via the Revenant ghost at Roundtable Hold, tying the Besmirched Frame to Nightreign content progression and optional combat encounters.
