controls
TBH: Task Bar Hero runs in a small, movable window and provides a handful of built-in hotkeys and window-management behaviors you should know to keep the UI visible and usable across single- and multi‑monitor setups.
Basic hotkeys
- Shift + F11 — Reset display scale. Use this if UI elements grow or shrink unexpectedly.
- Shift + F12 — Reset window position. Use this to snap the game back into view if it disappears off-screen.
Window behavior and docking
- On first launch the game will request permission to dock near your taskbar; the window is intended to sit in a corner of your monitor and remain visible while you work.
- You can pin the game window or otherwise keep it visible; TBH is designed to run continuously while docked.
Multi-monitor and DPI tips
- Moving the tiny game window between monitors with different DPI settings can change the UI scale. If the UI looks wrong after dragging between monitors, press Shift + F11 to reset the display scale before moving it again.
- If the window vanishes after moving between monitors, press Shift + F12 first to reset the window position, then Shift + F11 if the scale still looks off.
- Because the window is draggable across monitors, always reset scale before moving repeatedly between monitors with different DPI to avoid progressive inflation of UI elements.
Troubleshooting visuals and audio
- If the game is running but you have no visuals or sound, confirm your Steam account is signed in and up to date and update your GPU drivers.
- If those steps do not restore the experience, gather a short video showing the issue and report it to the official support contact.
Installation notes affecting controls
- TBH: Task Bar Hero is distributed via Steam for Windows 10/11 (64-bit). The game requires broadband for market features but the hotkeys and window behavior are local and available offline after installation.
- Allowing the window to dock at first launch ensures the intended taskbar-centric control layout and prevents accidental loss of the tiny window.
Use the two reset hotkeys (Shift+F11 and Shift+F12) as your primary tools for recovering the game’s window and UI scale; keep the window docked or pinned to avoid repeated multi‑monitor complications.
