Full Pot of Water

A Full Pot of Water is a filled cooking container used as a water source for crafting and base utility. It is obtained by filling a Cooking Pot or Cooking Pot (Makeshift) with Water.

Its main use is as an ingredient for soups, and it is required for every soup recipe in the game, including inedible soups such as Solder, Glue, and Fisherman's Glue. Because it counts as a container of water, it can also be used to refill other liquid containers such as Water Coolers and Barrels, or to water plants.

In practice, keeping at least one Full Pot of Water on hand is useful for both cooking and settlement upkeep. Since it comes from a Cooking Pot rather than being a separate found item, players generally make it as needed and then spend it on whichever recipe or utility task is currently the priority.
