Overview
The
Exponential Reconstructor is a high-end production building that converts large quantities of resources into advanced units and items. It functions as a late-game mass manufacturing block that places heavy demands on input materials and logistics; its throughput and continuous operation require significant upstream infrastructure for ores, liquids, and power.
The Reconstructor requires substantial
Titanium and
Pooled Cryofluid flow to operate without bottlenecks. Under the same overdrive strength assumptions, a single
Exponential Reconstructor needs the equivalent upstream supply of 5
Pooled Cryofluid Mixers, 8
Plastanium Compressors, and either 2
Silicon Crucibles or 7
Silicon Smelters to avoid input starvation.
Pooled Cryofluid storage is compact: three Liquid Tanks hold just enough cryofluid to produce one unit if you prefer to buffer cryofluid rather than produce it on-demand. As an alternative to tanks, 7–8 Liquid Containers can be used depending on the speed and steadiness of cryofluid production.
Titanium consumption by the Reconstructor is considerable. The block’s operation demands about 25.27
Titanium per second when including the needs of
Pooled Cryofluid Mixers and
Plastanium Compressors (breakdown: 8.33/sec for the Reconstructor itself, 2.5/sec for
Pooled Cryofluid Mixers, and 14.44/sec for
Plastanium Compressors). Supplying this rate is equivalent to coverage by three watered Airblast Drills plus a watered
Laser Drill; on maps with
Pooled Cryofluid ground tiles the total
Titanium requirement drops to 22.77/sec, which can be supplied by three watered Airblast Drills and a watered
Pneumatic Drill. For mobile mining options, assign Megas or Quasars to dedicate
Titanium to the Reconstructor.
Logistics recommendations: because of the high throughput and volume of
Titanium, using
Plastanium Conveyors to transport
Titanium is advised to prevent conveyor congestion. Ensure robust power generation and stable cryofluid production so the Reconstructor does not stall.
Like other unit-producing blocks, the
Exponential Reconstructor can buffer inputs: it holds up to double the required input items, allowing short interruptions in supply without immediately halting production.
The
Exponential Reconstructor was added in early updates and has received balance changes since introduction; it remains a cornerstone late-game production building for players able to sustain its heavy resource and logistical needs.
