controls
Switches let you change how you direct the Leader and shape how Ratizens move through your colony. They are also a broad category of security and access-control structures, ranging from simple mode switching for the player to buildings that restrict movement or enforce work.
Player mode switching
The Leader has two operating modes:
- Normal mode: gathers and mines.
- Combat mode: uses weapons.
You can switch between these modes by pressing Shift on the keyboard.
Access control
Some control structures are used to decide who may pass or how movement is regulated inside the colony.
Wood Door
A solid wooden door that lets you establish a rule for who can pass through it.
This makes doors a basic way to control access to rooms, corridors, and protected areas.
Surveillance and worker control
CCTV
A device for observing Ratizens’ daily tasks. It gives you a way to monitor activity and keep work moving as intended.
Its purpose is control through oversight rather than direct physical blockage.
Defensive control structures
Some control-related buildings act by influencing movement at the colony edge or along approach routes.
Elecfence
A sturdy fence that shocks approaching enemies with electricity.
It serves as a deterrent and defensive barrier, but it can also harm you if you are not careful around it.
Event-driven control structures
เสาหินชำระล้าง
A defensive structure that summons an ภูตแห่งผืนดิน when activated by its own effect. The structure disappears when destroyed by enemies.
The summoned ภูตแห่งผืนดิน lasts for 6 in-game hours.
Time and atmosphere control
เครื่องเล่นเสียง
A royal structure that allows you to change the in-game day and night cycle. This makes it a direct control tool for managing the colony’s environment and routine.
