Glowing Gâteau

Glowing Gâteau is a cooked food item obtained by baking a Raw Glowing Gâteau in a Convection Oven and making sure it does not burn. It functions as a shared dish rather than a simple handheld snack: like a pot of soup, it must be placed on the ground before it can be interacted with.

A single Glowing Gâteau contains six slices. This makes it useful when feeding multiple players or when you want to stock a meal that can be taken in portions instead of being consumed all at once. At level 15, the Serving Seconds perk increases the yield by two additional slices, bringing the total to eight slices from one completed gâteau.

In practice, Glowing Gâteau is best treated as a prepared meal you bring back to a safe location and serve from there. Since it requires placement before use, it is less convenient for quick on-the-move eating than a normal inventory item, but it is more efficient when shared out among a group. The main risk in making it is overcooking it in the Convection Oven, which destroys the product instead of producing the finished dish.
