Spuddy is a trinket item represented as a small potato attached to a chain. It grants the passive effect Lucky Potato, which increases the chance that enemies will drop items. The item appears in the general trinket pool and functions as a straightforward drop-rate modifier rather than providing any active ability or combat bonus.

Lucky Potato provides a flat increase of 5 percentage points to item drop chances from enemies. This is an additive bonus: the trinket adds 5% to the existing drop chance rather than multiplying it. For example, an item that normally has a 1% drop chance will have a 6% drop chance when Spuddy is equipped. This flat increase makes the trinket scale in absolute terms; it is proportionally more impactful for very rare drops than for common ones.

Practical notes on use and behavior:

• Prior to version 0.9.3, Spuddy had no in-game effect despite existing as a trinket; the Lucky Potato effect was introduced or enabled in 0.9.3.
• The 5% increase is a fixed addition to the base drop chance value, based on community testing. Use this when calculating expected drop rates for specific targets.
• Spuddy is especially useful when farming extremely rare item drops such as keys, rare consumables, or other low-chance pickups because the same absolute increase yields a larger relative improvement for low base probabilities.
• The trinket stacks with other modifiers to drop chance according to the game’s existing rules for additive and multiplicative bonuses; because Spuddy is an additive flat bonus, its interaction with other additive effects will sum directly.
• Equip Spuddy on runs focused on acquiring specific low-rate items rather than for general survivability or damage, since it provides no defensive or offensive stats.
• Visual and flavor description across localizations consistently describe the item as a small potato on a chain; the in-game description emphasizes its simple, tangible form rather than any mystical explanation for the luck effect.

Because the effect is simple and deterministic, players can calculate expected gains for extended farming sessions and decide whether the absolute +5% benefit justifies carrying the trinket in place of other situationally useful items.
