Mother of the Fallow

Mother of the Fallow is a creature that can be harvested for a small set of rewards, making it valuable mainly as a loot target rather than for any special material economy. Defeating or otherwise processing it yields Arcane Scrap and an Embellished Censer at a guaranteed rate, along with ammunition and a few rarer crafting-related items.

Its standard drop table includes:

• Arcane Scrap — 100%
• Embellished Censer — 100%
• 12g Buckshot — either 4 rounds guaranteed, with a separate 50% chance for 4–6 more
• Lodestone Fragment — 25%
• GATE Defense Rune — 10%

In addition to normal drops, Mother of the Fallow has a harvestable drop of a Witch Skull at 100%. This makes it especially notable if you are looking to collect unique creature parts or are routing for specific crafting and collection goals.

Because the creature’s reward profile is split between guaranteed loot and a separate harvest result, it is worth planning for both. If your goal is ammunition or basic materials, the guaranteed Arcane Scrap and Embellished Censer are reliable enough that the encounter is always productive. If you are hunting rarer drops, the Lodestone Fragment and GATE Defense Rune are the main low-probability targets, so repeated kills may be necessary.

The Buckshot drop is also useful in practice: even when the bonus roll does not trigger, the creature still provides a fixed amount of ammunition, and on a successful extra roll it can yield a noticeably larger cache. This makes Mother of the Fallow a decent source of combat supplies in addition to its crafting drops.
