Overview

Bombogi is a small, fast creature encountered as an environmental hazard rather than a conventional combatant. It is highly durable and completely immune to all conventional weapon damage; direct attacks will not harm it. Bombogi become dangerous when provoked: they sprint toward targets, start a short detonation timer once they are aggroed, and will explode unless they are removed from the arena first. The only ways to permanently remove a Bombogi are to knock it off the playable area or to allow it to detonate naturally.

Bombogi react specifically to jump interactions. A single jump on a Bombogi’s head triggers its detonation sequence. Additional jumps while on top of a Bombogi do not accelerate its death but instead cause the creature to be knocked back, allowing for controlled repositioning. Because weapons do not work, encounters with Bombogi are resolved through mobility, environmental use, and timing rather than firepower.

Use Bombogi deliberately as a positional tool: lure or bait them toward ledges, pits, or other map hazards and then provoke the jump-trigger to send them over the edge. If a Bombogi detonates near other foes or destructible scenery, its explosion can be used to damage or displace those elements; conversely, avoid being near allies or vulnerable structures when engaging a Bombogi. Never expend ammunition or special-attack cooldowns on Bombogi, since those resources have no effect.

Practical interaction and strategy:

  • Do not shoot or strike a Bombogi; weapons are ineffective and waste resources. Focus on movement and positioning.
  • Trigger a Bombogi’s detonation by jumping on its head. Time the jump so the resulting explosion will affect other targets or occur where it won’t endanger you.
  • Use follow-up jumps to knock a Bombogi back. Repeated controlled knocks can push it into environmental hazards or off the map to permanently remove it.
  • When possible, bait Bombogi toward edges, traps, or chasms and then provoke their timer to secure a kill by falling rather than explosion.
  • Maintain distance when multiple Bombogi are present. Their combined explosions are dangerous; isolate them and deal with one at a time by using jumps and map features.
  • Treat Bombogi as tactical objects in the environment: they can clear obstacles or cluster enemies if detonated at the right moment, but they are equally a liability if allowed to explode near friendly units or fragile terrain.

Bombogi encounters reward spatial awareness and controlled movement. Success comes from manipulating the creature with jumps and the environment rather than attempting to damage it directly.
