Silicon Ore is one of the basic natural resources found in the universe. Found in a few places in the galaxy, it can be harvested and processed locally. As a semi-conductor, Silicon is useful in many electrical applications, from transistors to processors. After refinement, other processes can make use of silicon to form complex components.

It is mined with the Mining Machine.

It is smelted into High-Purity Silicon. It can be refined inefficiently from Stone if a natural source has not been found.
