Reformed Refinement is a technology that unlocks the Reformed Refinement process in the 

The process is closely tied to Plasma Refining and 



A common use case is to pair the process with oil refining lines so that Hydrogen can be fed back into production rather than accumulating. This is especially important for X-ray Cracking, since the recipe depends on having enough Hydrogen available to keep the line running. When setting up a new refining block, it is useful to plan for both input and output belts from the start, and to leave room for buffering if needed.
- Reformed Refinement is most useful when your oil setup produces more Hydrogen than you can otherwise spend.
- When using Plasma Refining, it helps prevent Hydrogen backup and keeps the refining chain running smoothly.
- When using X-ray Cracking, it improves Coal efficiency by converting Refined oil and Hydrogen into Energetic Graphite.
- A compact setup often uses parallel belt lanes for input and output, with Chemical Plants arranged on the output side and copied across the row for consistency.
- If needed, Storage Tanks can be added as a buffer for Refined oil, since the liquid cannot be stored on belts.
This technology and its process were previously known as Reforming Refine.
