Sulphur Ore is a raw material used in refining to produce Pressurized Helium and Sulphuric Acid. It is collected automatically by the Sulfur Extractor, which outputs Sulphur Ore at a rate of 240 per minute.

Pressurized Helium is crafted from Sulphur Ore and Helium-3 in the Refinery. The recipe requires 1 Sulphur Ore and 1 Helium-3, takes 2 seconds to complete, and produces 1 Pressurized Helium per cycle. Sulphuric Acid is crafted from Sulphur Ore and Chemicals in the Refinery. That recipe requires 2 Sulphur Ore and 1 Chemicals, takes 0.5 seconds, and produces 1 Sulphuric Acid per cycle.

  • Obtaining: Sulphur Ore is produced by the Sulfur Extractor at 240/min (4 per second).
  • Crafting: Pressurized Helium: 1 Sulphur Ore + 1 Helium-3 → 1 Pressurized Helium, 2 s per cycle, crafted in the Refinery. Sulphuric Acid: 2 Sulphur Ore + 1 Chemicals → 1 Sulphuric Acid, 0.5 s per cycle, crafted in the Refinery.
  • Throughput notes: the Sulfur Extractor output equals 4 Sulphur Ore per second. A single Refinery running the Sulphuric Acid recipe consumes 4 Sulphur Ore per second (2 ore per 0.5 s), which matches the extractor output. Each Refinery running the Pressurized Helium recipe consumes 0.5 Sulphur Ore per second (1 ore per 2 s), so eight such refineries are required to consume the full output of one Sulfur Extractor.
  • Practical implication: use one Refinery on the Sulphuric Acid recipe to fully utilize a single Sulfur Extractor without buffering, or deploy multiple Pressurized Helium refineries in groups of eight per extractor if producing Pressurized Helium at extractor-limited scale. Adjust buffer storage and material routing based on production scheduling and downstream demand.
