Data Points

Data Points are an in-game item used as a currency for unlocking functionality and progression systems. They are obtained by analyzing valuable items at an Analyzing Station and are consumed to unlock Milestones with corporations or to unlock new building functionality via recipes.

Data Points are generated by placing valuable items into an Analyzing Station. Each analysis yields between 5 and 250 Data Points depending on the value of the item analyzed. The mechanic converts item value into a quantifiable resource that players spend to progress corporate relationships and technology unlocked through Recipe Stations.

Data Points are transferred to corporations through a Corporate Terminal to unlock Milestones. Transferring Data Points initiates or advances corporate Milestones, and Data Points can be submitted even after a Milestone has already been started. The amount of Data Points transferred to a Corporate Terminal ranges from 50 up to 69,700 depending on the specific corporate requirement being satisfied.

Recipe Stations use Data Points to unlock new building recipes and functionality. Using a Recipe Station to unlock functionality consumes between 30 and 100 Data Points per unlock, depending on the recipe or building feature being unlocked.
