Quartz Building Material is a crafting material used by the Building Tool to place unique or intermediate structures. It functions as a construction component for setting up in-game buildings and foundations that the Building Tool requires to create those structures.

The material is created in the Basic Item Printer and is produced in batches. A single recipe run yields 20 Quartz Building Material with no crafting time. The recipe lists ingredients as 50 Intermediate Building Material and 1 Quartz Ore. The recipe must first be unlocked at the Recipe Station under the Basic Item Printer category. Unlocking the recipe requires 35 Quartz Ore, 500 Intermediate Building Materials, and 1,000 Data Points.

Quartz Building Material occupies a role between raw resource and finished structure component: it is derived from Quartz Ore and Intermediate Building Material and is consumed by the Building Tool when installing the game’s special structures. The material’s instant production in the Basic Item Printer makes it suitable for rapid provisioning once the recipe is unlocked and ingredients are available.
