Wolfram Wire

Wolfram Wire is a crafting material used in StarRupture. It functions as an intermediate component in multiple equipment recipes and can be exported to corporate buyers. The item is produced from Wolfram Bar and is intended for use in electrical and mechanical assemblies such as inductors, rotors, and stators.

Wolfram Wire is obtained by processing a Wolfram Bar in a Fabricator. The conversion requires one Wolfram Bar and takes four seconds, yielding two Wolfram Wire per operation. As a craftable intermediate, Wolfram Wire is consumed by several higher-tier recipes that are assembled in Furnaces and Fabricators.

Wolfram Wire is used directly in the following recipes:

• Inductor: requires 1 Wolfram Wire, 2 Tube, and 2 Ceramics; produced in a Furnace in 3 seconds to yield 1 Inductor.
• Rotor: requires 2 Wolfram Wire and 2 Titanium Rod; produced in a Fabricator in 6 seconds to yield 1 Rotor.
• Stator: requires 1 Wolfram Wire and 2 Titanium Housing; produced in a Fabricator in 3 seconds to yield 1 Stator.

Wolfram Wire can be exported to corporate partners. Available export contracts include:

• Griffits Blue Corporation (Level 3, Value 5) — reward: Dash.
• Clever Robotics (Level 3, Value 5) — reward: Storage Depot v1.

Practical notes:

• Production efficiency: one Wolfram Bar produces two Wolfram Wire in a single 4-second Fabricator cycle, making batching of Wolfram Bars efficient for subsequent recipes that require multiple wires.
• Recipe placement: inductors are produced in a Furnace, while rotors and stators are produced in a Fabricator; plan production lines accordingly to avoid unnecessary transfers.
• Export planning: multiple corporations accept Wolfram Wire; choose export contracts based on desired corporate reward or contract level.
• Inventory management: because Wolfram Wire is a common intermediate, maintain a buffer stock to prevent bottlenecks in production chains that use inductors, rotors, or stators.
