Mud Waders

Mud Waders are a footwear item that applies the Muckraker effect when worn. While this effect is active, fishing is restricted so that the player only catches junk instead of normal fish or other results.

Because of that drawback, Mud Waders are generally a situational item rather than a broad fishing upgrade. Their main value is in cases where intentionally forcing junk catches is useful for a task, test, or other niche interaction. Outside of those uses, wearing them will actively reduce fishing rewards by preventing normal catches.

• Equipping Mud Waders grants the Muckraker effect.
• The Muckraker effect causes fishing to yield junk only.
• They are not suitable for ordinary fishing runs, since they block normal catches.
