Potatoes are a food item that can be found as random loot inside Refrigerators. They can also be produced by planting them in a Garden Plot and harvesting the fully grown plant.

Potatoes are especially convenient to grow because they are not consumed when harvested from some varieties of Garden Plot. Instead, harvesting them resets the plant to a 5/5 growth stage, so the same plant only needs to regrow one cycle rather than being replanted from scratch.

Dr. Carson will trade one Skip for one Potato.

• Search Refrigerators when scavenging indoor areas, since that is a direct source of Potatoes.
• If you have a Garden Plot, prioritize keeping a Potato plant going for repeated harvests rather than treating it as a one-time crop.
• The regrowth reset makes Potatoes a low-maintenance source of food once established.
