Ground Oil

Ground Oil is an item obtained from excavation spots marked by an X on the ground. Digging one up with a shovel or hoe yields a single item, and the result is determined by the type of dig spot.

Excavation spots appear in several biomes, including the Dirt biome, the Clay Caves, Azeos' Wilderness, The Sunken Sea, The Desert of Beginnings, and the Molten Quarry. The loot table depends on the spot type, and the Dirt biome and the Clay Caves use the same set of possible drops. In some unique locations, the dig spot can instead yield a fixed item rather than a random one, such as Turtle Shell from the Turtle Statue location.
