Overview

Armored Conveyor is a conveyor-type building used to transport items while matching the visual and thematic aesthetic of the Serpulo/erekir faction. It functions like a standard conveyor belt for routing items but enforces stricter connection rules with certain neighboring transport blocks. Armored Conveyors appear alongside related transport pieces such as the Armored Duct and Surge Conveyor and are used in factory layouts where players want a factional look or to integrate with other Serpulo-era blocks.

Armored Conveyors do not accept side inputs from ducts of any kind, nor from Surge Conveyors. Likewise, the Armored Duct will reject side inputs coming from Serpulo conveyors. This means layouts that rely on feeding items into an Armored Conveyor from the side must instead use end-to-end (straight or curved) conveyor connections or redesign the feed so the input comes from the conveyor’s front. Because of these connection restrictions, Armored Conveyors are best used in continuous runs or with junctions placed before the conveyor’s entry point rather than attempting to inject items laterally.

Despite its name and appearance, Armored Conveyor has no armor stat. Armor was added to certain blocks in a later game version, and the Armored Conveyor (and Armored Duct) lack the armor property even though other blocks on the same planet possess armor. When planning defenses, treat Armored Conveyors as having the same vulnerability as regular conveyors.

Practical notes:

  • Use end-to-end connections (straight, curved, or junctions feeding from the front) to move items into an Armored Conveyor.
  • Avoid attempting to feed an Armored Conveyor from the side with ducts, Surge Conveyors, or non-matching faction conveyors; such inputs are rejected.
  • The block’s aesthetic matches Serpulo/erekir themes, making it suitable for themed bases, but do not rely on it for extra durability since it provides no armor bonus.
