Armored Duct

Overview
Armored Duct is a transport block that appears on the planet
Erekir in Mindustry. It functions as a duct-style conveyor used to move items but has unique interaction rules with other transport blocks on
Erekir: it does not accept side inputs from other transport blocks. This behavior mirrors the
Armored Conveyor on
Erekir, which likewise rejects side inputs. Despite its name,
Armored Duct does not possess an armor stat like some other blocks on the same planet.
Use
Armored Duct when building item-routing networks on
Erekir where you need a straight duct-style path that ignores side insertions; plan layouts accordingly because junctions or side-feeding from standard transport blocks will not work into its sides. Because it blocks side inputs, pair it with end-to-end conveyors, ducts, or dedicated inserters that input from allowed directions, and avoid relying on passive side merges to feed it.
- Place
Armored Duct in-line with other compatible transport pieces to ensure continuous flow; side-feeding buildings or conveyors will be prevented from inserting items into the duct’s sides. - The lack of an armor stat means it does not provide extra durability against attacks compared to other
Erekir blocks that list armor; protect runs of
Armored Duct with defenses or place them behind more resilient structures if expecting enemy pressure. - When replacing or upgrading conveyors on
Erekir, remember the
Armored Duct’s side-input rejection to avoid breaking existing merge points or item network designs.
