Minecart Track

Minecart Track is a placeable object used to build minecart routes. It was introduced in v.0.21.18 and later expanded beyond its original availability in forest caves, making it usable in more biomes. After that change, minecart tracks also became craftable and could be picked up again, which made track layouts much easier to extend, revise, and recover.

In v.0.21.22, its stack size was increased to 250, allowing players to carry and place larger stretches of track with less inventory management. This makes Minecart Track more convenient for long transport lines, especially when linking distant areas or rebuilding sections of a route.

A later fix in v.0.21.28 addressed items sinking through minecart tracks when they were placed on liquid. While this was not a direct change to the track’s function, it improved how tracks behave in mixed terrain and made liquid-adjacent routes less prone to item loss or awkward placement issues.

• Minecart Track can now be crafted and picked up after placement.
• It is no longer limited to forest caves.
• Its stack size is 250.
• Liquid placement received a fix so items no longer sink through tracks placed on liquid.
