Overview

The Control Tower is a Science-category building that provides a persistent Condition boost to nearby Bots by consuming Science. It appears as a dedicated structure for managing bot efficiency and is unlocked as part of the game's scientific infrastructure. The Control Tower must be supplied with Science to function; when Science are depleted the building will display a "Not Enough Science" status and cease providing its boost.

The Control Tower's Condition bonus decays rapidly with distance, so its effect is strongest when placed near the paths and work zones where Bots operate. To ensure continuous benefits, position Control Towers so their coverage overlaps main transit routes, workshop clusters and production chains that rely on automated Bot tasks. Multiple Control Towers can be used to create blanket coverage across larger settlements and to avoid dead zones where Bots might lose the boost.

Control Towers continuously consume Science while active. Use a Science Counter to switch a Control Tower off before its Science reservoir is fully exhausted to prevent the "Not Enough Science" interruption and to manage limited Science resources efficiently. Strategic placement and timed activation allow you to maximize uptime on important operations without wasting Science on idle coverage.

  • Place Control Towers near Bot hubs, workshops and conveyor/rail intersections to keep Bots operating at peak efficiency.
  • Overlap ranges from multiple towers to eliminate gaps caused by the rapid decay of the Condition effect with distance.
  • Monitor Science and use a Science Counter or automated control to turn towers off during low-demand periods to conserve Science.
  • Control Towers were introduced in Update 2 and are categorized under Science.
