Overview

Suspension Bridge 5x1 is a long suspension bridge structure used to span wide gaps in Timberborn maps. It consists of six blocks in total: one anchor block anchored to solid ground and a five-block suspension span that carries traffic and utilities across the gap. This variant is categorized under Suspension Bridges and is commonly used where a longer unobstructed crossing is needed without intermediate supports.

Suspension Bridge 5x1 functions like other suspension bridges: the anchor block secures the bridge to land and the five suspended blocks form the traversable roadway. It supports beaver movement and the placement of linear infrastructure along its length in the same way as shorter and longer suspension bridge variants.

  • Place the anchor block on solid ground at the edge of the chasm; the five-block span extends from that anchor across the gap.
  • Because one block is reserved for anchoring, ensure you have at least six contiguous construction spaces in the intended direction before building.
  • Use this bridge when you need a longer single-span crossing to avoid placing supports in water or unstable terrain; it reduces the need for multiple shorter bridges or additional foundation work.
