- Use
Gunpowder wherever an entry or recipe explicitly lists a propellant, charge, or powder; it is the canonical material for converting stored chemical energy into projectile motion.
Gunpowder’s design favors short-duration, high-pressure output; pair it with devices built to contain and direct that impulse (barrels, chambers, and seals) to realize intended range and velocity.
- Because
Gunpowder’s utility is propulsion, substituting it for materials intended for incendiary, corrosive, or prolonged combustion effects will not reproduce those behaviors.
- Storage and transport considerations in-game should treat
Gunpowder as a volatile consumable: keep it in appropriate containers or inventory slots intended for explosive powders to avoid accidental misapplication.
- When balancing performance, focus modifications on delivery systems (barrel length, chamber integrity, projectile mass and shape) rather than on
Gunpowder itself; the powder supplies the impulse, while mechanical and projectile properties determine resulting range, speed, and accuracy.
