Plasma Disc

Plasma Disc is an expendable ammo item: a disc imbued with charged plasma that ignites and detonates when it touches any surface or enemy. It is visually described as a flaming, plasma-charged disk and functions as a contact explosive rather than a ricocheting projectile. Plasma Disc serves as usable ammunition for weapons that accept disc-type ammo; compatibility is listed on each weapon's ammo configuration.

Unlike bouncing variants in the Grinder Disc family, the Plasma Disc does not bounce off surfaces. It detonates immediately upon contact, producing damage within a small area of effect. Because it explodes on impact, fired Plasma Discs cannot be retrieved after use and should be treated as single-use ordnance.

• Deployment: Fire Plasma Discs at concentrations of enemies or at chokepoints where immediate area damage is desirable. The instant-detonation behavior makes them effective for clearing groups that are clustered near cover or for denying space.
• Targeting: Aim for surfaces or floors near enemy positions when direct hits are difficult; a disc that contacts any surface will explode, so indirect placement can still produce effective area damage.
• Weapon synergy: Use Plasma Discs in weapons designed to accept disc ammo types. Check the weapon’s ammo compatibility to confirm whether Plasma Disc is supported.
• Recovery and economy: Plasma Discs are consumed on impact and cannot be picked up once fired. Plan inventory and usage accordingly, as they do not function like retrievable thrown discs.
• Comparison: Against bouncing disc variants, Plasma Discs trade off rebound utility for reliable, immediate explosions. Choose Plasma Discs when you need guaranteed detonation on first contact rather than multi-bounce control.

Plasma Disc is best used where guaranteed area damage on contact is more valuable than positional or ricochet tactics. Handle them as consumable explosive rounds and prioritize targets or placements that maximize the disc’s instant blast radius.
