Water Filter

The Water Filter is a liquid-processing item used to turn Tainted Water into clean Water at a 1:1 ratio with no delay. It functions as a practical bridge between polluted water sources and safe water storage, making it a useful utility for long-term base support and any setup that relies on a steady supply of clean Water.

Unlike ordinary liquid containers, the Water Filter cannot be filled directly from the inventory using liquid sources or other containers. It must be deployed first, then supplied from another liquid container or source. Once placed, it can continuously convert Tainted Water into Water, and it can effectively process an unlimited amount as long as a source of Tainted Water is available.

Because it can transform infinite amounts of Tainted Water into infinite clean water sources, it is especially valuable when a base is built near polluted water. If the base is far from any water source, a convenient approach is to set up a crafting bench with a synched personal teleporter near a Tainted Water source so the player can quickly access and use the filter without making repeated long trips.
