Mushrooms

Mushrooms are a food item and cooking ingredient. Like other foods, they can restore the player's hunger, and as a cooking ingredient they can be combined with other ingredients to improve the effects of a meal.

Because mushrooms belong to the cooking system rather than a special utility category, their main value is in consumption and recipes. They are not used as scanners, keys, boss-summoning items, containers, or pet candy. When you find mushrooms, keep them for eating directly if you need a simple hunger restore, or save them for cooking if you want to get more value from them in a recipe.
