King Slime

Overview
King Slime is a slime boss that can be summoned by placing a

At full health, King Slime only begins attacking players within 6 tiles. After taking damage, its aggro range expands to 20 tiles. If players move out of range during the fight, or if King Slime travels more than 25 tiles from the rune, it retreats to the rune and regenerates health at 10% of its maximum every 5 seconds. This makes the arena and the boss rune important parts of the encounter, since pulling it too far away causes the fight to reset into a recovery phase.

A few practical details matter during the fight:
- King Slime will not spawn a new Royal Slime if there are already 12 or more within a 15-tile radius.
- Its leap attack and terrain-breaking movement make walls and narrow chokepoints unreliable for containment.
- Since it can refill pits and liquids with rune-dependent blocks, terrain obstacles may change as the battle progresses.
- Dragging the boss too far from the rune causes it to return and heal, so sustained damage is safer than kiting it indefinitely.
The encounter is best handled by keeping the fight centered near the rune, limiting how far the boss can jump through the arena, and preparing for the added pressure from Royal Slimes once the battle gets underway.
