Overview

Pyrdra the Fire Titan is a desert boss found traveling underground in a circular path around the Desert of Beginnings. It cannot be harmed until it is brought to the surface by placing a Wind Organ of Fire close enough to it. A Pyrdra the Fire Titan Scanner can be used to reveal its location on the map, making it easier to track down before summoning it.

Pyrdra does not fight alone: it spawns together with the souls of Druidra and Crydra, and those souls are invulnerable to attacks. The boss and its souls burrow underground and switch positions between attacks, damaging nearby players when resurfacing. Pyrdra also has protective armor shown by a yellow bar above its health bar. Once that armor is broken, Pyrdra becomes paralyzed and falls to the ground, leaving its body vulnerable for a short time while the souls continue attacking normally. After 9.3 seconds, it resumes fighting and fully regenerates its armor. Because the damage dealt during each vulnerable period is soft-capped at 25% of its maximum health, it must be paralyzed at least four times to be defeated.

Pyrdra and its souls share several attacks:

  • If a player is close enough, it slams into the ground, damaging nearby players. A hissing sound plays before this attack.
  • It fires a yellow beam from its mouth that tracks the player.

Each soul also adds its own attack pattern:

  • Pyrdra spits fireballs into the sky, which fall in a line and land on red markers on the ground. The impacts leave Ground Magma Slime behind.
  • Crydra creates an ice crystal on the ground that repeatedly fires two volleys of ice shards in a spiral pattern. The crystal can be destroyed by any attack.
  • Druidra roars upward, causes several blocks to fall from the sky, and then begins pulling players toward it. During this sequence, wind effects on the ground mark the area of the incoming shockwave. After a short delay, Druidra creates a shockwave that deals heavy damage and destroys exposed blocks. The shockwave can be avoided by hiding behind a block or moving far enough away.

Once defeated, Pyrdra disappears and then respawns at a random location in the Desert of Beginnings after its soul vanishes, which takes about 5 to 6 minutes. In practice, the fight is a repeated cycle of locating, summoning, breaking armor, and burst-damaging it during each paralysis window. Staying mobile is important, since the boss constantly changes position underground and several of its attacks punish players who remain close or stand in open ground.
