Azeos' Wilderness

Overview

Azeos the Sky Titan is a boss found in Azeos’ Wilderness. It is summoned in its arena by placing a Large Shiny Glimmering Object, and the arena is located about 550 tiles from The Core. An Azeos the Sky Titan Scanner can be used to reveal the arena’s location on the map. After Azeos is defeated, it cannot be summoned again until its soul disappears, which takes about 5–6 minutes.

Azeos has a small set of attack patterns built around thunder beams and crystal spawns. It can summon two rows of thunder beams on its left and right that close in from the sides, two rows above and below that close in vertically, a spinning ring of thunder beams that contracts and then expands again, or a cluster of beams that travel randomly in one of four directions. It also summons multiple blue crystals during the fight. These crystals can only be destroyed with mining damage, such as pickaxes or explosives, and when charged by a thunder beam they slowly heal Azeos until they are broken. Azeos teleports after finishing an attack pattern and begins another one. At 40% health, it becomes enraged and the thunder beams move 40% faster.

The blue crystals also block projectiles, so they can interfere with ranged attacks as well as healing the boss. If all players die or leave the area during the fight, Azeos disappears and must be summoned again with a new Large Shiny Glimmering Object. An Easter variant can be fought by using a Large Golden Egg instead of the normal summoning item.

  • Poison is very effective against Azeos and reduces healing from the blue crystals by 75%. Useful sources of poison include the Blowpipe, Poisonous Sickle, Samhain Curse Ring, and the Fanhare.
  • A shield helps reduce damage from thunder beams.
  • When the ring attack appears, avoid the center of the pattern; the beams converge there and can hit almost simultaneously, making the area extremely dangerous.
  • Healing Potions, especially Greater Healing Potions, and Guardian’s Potions are strongly recommended to make the fight safer.
  • Large Bombs or Bombs can be placed beside crystals to destroy them quickly and buy more time to focus on damage and dodging. Crude Bombs do not deal enough damage.
