mid game

Mid game is the phase where you consolidate power: deepen your crafting and equipment, fine-tune 3‑person team synergies, and begin farming Act bosses and Soul Stones as repeatable loot sources. Success here unlocks the late-game Acts and the higher-difficulty maps.

Goals and progression

  • Clear maps in Act 2 to reach and beat Act bosses; each Act requires a Soul Stone to attempt its finale.
  • Use successful boss clears to progress Acts; Soul Stones are consumed only on successful clears — failed attempts do not cost a stone.
  • Store surplus Soul Stones in the Stash for later Acts or farming runs.
  • Boss-farming loops in Act 2 are a primary mid-game route to high-tier loot and materials.

Team composition and role tuning

  • Mid game rewards optimized three-person teams. Build complementary roles (damage dealer, sustain/control, utility/support) rather than three copies of the same archetype.
  • Example recommended party for difficult Act 2 maps: Priest (healer/support) + Sorcerer (AoE/high single-target magic damage) + Ranger (ranged single-target/utility). This balance handles sustained boss damage, burst windows, and survivability.
  • Prioritize survivability and consistent damage output. Equip and upgrade items that reduce downtime (cooldown reduction, sustain) and increase survivability (armor, resistances, heal efficiency).

Equipment, crafting, and materials

  • Mid game is the time to prioritize material farming and equipment upgrades over exploratory risk. Spend early Act 2 runs gathering components needed for next-tier gear.
  • Keep multiple prioritized upgrade paths: at least one primary DPS set, one survivability/utility set, and one situational set for particular bosses.
  • Treasure chest management: you can enable auto-open for convenience, but early/mid game manual opening is more efficient to avoid inventory overflow and ensure you pick the best drops.

Bosses and Soul Stone farming

  • Act bosses are repeatable content for mid-game progression and loot.
  • Farming strategy:
    • Use faster, reliable party comps to increase clear rate per hour rather than attempting high-failure high-reward setups.
    • Keep spare Soul Stones in the Stash so you can attempt boss chains without interrupting expedition or map runs.
    • Because Soul Stones are only consumed on success, you can attempt challenging bosses without losing stones on failure; treat challenging attempts as practice until the party is optimized.
  • Boss difficulty spikes in late Act 2 and Act 3 require balanced high DPS with sustain; adapt gear and consumables accordingly.

Map and act-specific tips

  • Act 2: Many maps unlock the full value of three-person synergies starting around 2-6. Use these early three-player-friendly maps to refine roles and gear.
  • Map 2-9: Consider the Priest + Sorcerer + Ranger setup for balance of healing, AoE, and single-target burst.
  • Act 3: Difficulty increases across four tiers. Treat Act 3 as the transition to late game — use offline progression to keep grind steady, but perform key runs online to collect boxes and rare rewards.

Pets and convenience systems

  • Pets unlock early but become mostly cosmetic later. The bat pet unlocks around maps 1-7 to 1-8 and has passive benefits only while held; it is recommended to unlock around 1-8 and then focus elsewhere.
  • Offline progression provides XP while you are away but does not grant treasure chests. For important drops and chest-based rewards, run maps while online.

Efficiency and routine

  • Make a mid-game loop: clear resource maps → craft/upgrade gear → run boss attempts → store extra Soul Stones → repeat.
  • Prioritize manual chest opening until inventory management and loot value are consistent.
  • When farming, focus on consistency: small reliable wins (frequent successful clears) yield more net progress than infrequent risky attempts.

Risk management and retry

  • The game auto-retries failed runs; use this to iteratively adjust gear and tactics without wasting Soul Stones.
  • Push difficulty in measured steps: increase map or boss difficulty only after you can reliably clear the previous tier multiple times.

Summary: Mid game is about locking in a reliable three-person synergy, investing in targeted equipment upgrades, and using repeatable boss/Soul Stone farming loops to accumulate the materials and gear you need for Act 3 and beyond. Prioritize consistency, stash management, and online runs for chest rewards.
