mods

Mods are community-made or official modifications that change TBH: Task Bar Hero’s content, rules, UI, or assets. Properly used, mods extend gameplay, add new characters or items, rebalance systems, or introduce entirely new modes; poorly made or incompatible mods can break saves, cause crashes, or conflict with other mods.

  • Use the game’s supported mod folder or the official mod loader when available. Installing into the wrong directory or overwriting core files can corrupt your installation or save data.
  • Keep one mod manager if possible. Mod managers resolve load order and dependency issues; when none is available, follow mod authors’ recommended load order.
  • Back up saves before installing or updating mods. Major mods, especially those that add or remove unit types or stateful systems, can render saves incompatible.

Compatibility, conflicts, and updates

  • Conflicts occur when two mods modify the same file, asset, or game behavior. Install mods that explicitly state compatibility or that use separate namespaces/assets to avoid overwriting.
