Overview

The Beaver Bust is a decorative building placed in a single plot that provides aesthetic value and contributes to the settlement’s culture score. It appears as a sculpted beaver statue intended for placement in plazas, parks, and other public spaces to improve the visual appeal of nearby woodenfolk habitats and increase overall happiness.

Construction and placement follow standard decorative building rules: the Beaver Bust fits on a single ground tile and can be built on or under a Double Platform. It requires metal-based materials in its construction. In early versions the cost used Metal Blocks; as of later updates the cost was changed to require Scrap Metal and Metal Parts (historical change: originally 5 Metal Blocks; updated to 4 Scrap Metal and 2 Metal Parts). The Beaver Bust is unlocked through the build menu alongside other monuments and decorations and becomes available after unlocking the relevant technology tier for decorative constructions.

Practical notes for using the Beaver Bust:

  • Place the Beaver Bust in public squares, near wells or communal buildings, or along main walkways to maximize the number of citizens who pass by and gain its happiness benefit.
  • The Bust can be presented in a dedicated build area (for display purposes) or integrated into mixed-use plazas; it does not require direct adjacency to water or power.
  • Because it uses metal components, plan resource logistics or scrap recycling before committing to multiple Busts in a settlement, especially in early to mid-game where metal is scarce.
  • The model fits within standard decorative placement—stacking it under a Double Platform preserves ground space while keeping the statue visible to passersby.

History: the Beaver Bust was introduced in Update 5. Its construction cost was revised after release from an original Metal Block requirement to the current Scrap Metal + Metal Parts recipe to better align with late-game resource economy.
