Carousel

Overview
The
Carousel is a decorative building introduced in Timberborn's Early Access and later made exclusive to the
Folktails expansion. It functions as a purely aesthetic structure that can be built in town layouts to add visual variety and character. The
Carousel's entrance sits one block above the ground level where the structure is placed; its power input connection is located on the center block at ground level and is accessible from all four faces.
The
Carousel appears in dedicated builds and can be placed in plazas, near residential areas, or within festival zones to visually signal a leisure or cultural space in a city. It does not provide production, storage, or direct resource benefits, but it contributes to the settlement’s appearance and can be used to reinforce thematic designs.
Practical notes for placement and integration:
- The building requires a single ground cell with the entrance positioned one block higher than that placement cell; plan surrounding terrain and paths so citizens can reach the raised entrance without obstruction.
- Power must be supplied to the center ground block; the input accepts connections from any of the four cardinal faces. Ensure power lines are routed to that center cell.
- The
Carousel is intended for decorative use only and does not interact with production chains or workforce assignment. - Visual variants exist from earlier versions of the game: the
Folktails edition is the current version, while older
Folktails and
Iron Teeth variants are recorded as obsolete images.
