Earth Repopulator

Overview
The
Earth Repopulator is a large endgame building that launches pilots on long-range gliders to repopulate the world. It occupies a 7×7 footprint and stands 6 blocks tall, reserving extra free air space to allow gliders to be launched up to four blocks above the building's visual height. The structure requires a path connection but does not require power. Construction progresses in visual stages at each 25% completion and allows up to 40 builders to work simultaneously due to its large size.
Preparing the
Earth Repopulator for a launch requires up to 8 pilots, 500 Berries, and 500 Treated Planks. Once stocked, the building is activated with the Launch command. Activation sends each pilot off on an individual long-range glider; the gliders are launched in sequence toward the cardinal and inter-cardinal directions as the
Earth Repopulator rotates. Each launched pilot is removed from the local population and the game displays a message such as “[Name] was launched.” The building can be restocked and reactivated to perform additional launches.
Practical notes and interactions:
- The resource cost breaks down to 62.5 berries per pilot when launching the full eight pilots; Treated
Planks are required in the same total quantity. - Bots may be used as pilots in place of Beavers and will produce the same rewards, though Bots lack the ability to construct a recharging station from scratch if they run out of energy after launch.
- Because the gliders launch at different compass points while the Repopulator rotates, the visual sequence produces up to eight distinct launch trajectories per activation (one per pilot when fully staffed).
- The glider entities persist visually beyond the local map boundary if followed with the camera, slowly fading into the distance.
- As a very large project, the
Earth Repopulator takes a long time to build; plan builder assignment and path access accordingly to speed construction.
The
Earth Repopulator functions as a definitive repopulation mechanic and late-game objective, converting staffed pilots and stockpiled goods into outgoing colonists via a dramatic launch animation.
