Overview

Triple Lodge is a residential building that functions similarly to Double Lodges but provides living space for three beavers. Its entrances are located on the second level, so access requires elevated paths, stairs, or building the structure one level lower than the surrounding access routes. Triple Lodges can be integrated into existing settlement layouts where higher walkways are used or where vertical housing density is desired.

Triple Lodges can be placed in shallow, one-block deep bodies of water without becoming flooded. Flooding occurs only if water rises above the entrance level on the second tier. This allows placing Triple Lodges at water edges or in flooded terrain where ground-level buildings would not be viable.

  • Entrances on the second level require planning of walkways and stairs to connect beaver traffic to the lodge. Place ramps, elevated walkways, or stairs so beavers can reach the second-tier door without detours.
  • Triple Lodges behave like Double Lodges in terms of occupation and pathfinding; they simply accommodate three residents instead of two or one, making them useful for compact housing when population growth outpaces available ground space.
  • Because they can be built one block lower than the intended access, Triple Lodges offer flexibility in terrain-constrained builds: lowering the building can align its second-level entrance with existing ground-level routes.
  • When siting near water, ensure the second-level entrance remains above expected water levels to avoid accidental flooding; seasonal or dam-driven water changes can submerge entrances and render the lodge unusable.
  • Triple Lodges were added in Update 1 and belong to the Folktails category.
