The endgame in 巨大城市 begins once your city passes 80 citizens and reaches Prosperity 5. At that point, you must face the weasel assault, and if you survive it, the focus shifts to finishing the monument and pushing toward victory.
What changes in the endgame
Endgame cities are shaped less by basic survival and more by your chosen victory path, available biome resources, and each citizen’s personal preferences. This is the stage where your economy should be specialized rather than generalized.
- For an economic or noble victory, put more effort into trade.
- For a building or science victory, commit more resources to development.
- If you are moving toward electrification, expand into advanced industry such as the blacksmith.
City planning priorities
At this stage, development decisions have a larger impact than in the early or midgame. You should organize the city around what your run needs most, instead of trying to optimize everything equally.
- Focus production on the resources your biome provides well.
- Build around the needs of your chosen victory condition.
- Expand industry and power infrastructure where it supports your core goal.
Citizen productivity in the endgame
Citizen traits still matter in the endgame, but their impact depends on how your city is set up. The following comparisons were calculated under a typical endgame setup with balanced living conditions, efficient production, and standard services.
In general, the most important trait categories are:
- Dexterous / Clumsy
- Traits related to desires
- Fast / Slow
Traits related to lifestyle items become more important if you consume those goods in larger quantities.
A useful endgame observation is that being passive is not as harmful as it may seem when a rat is simply sleeping in bed. Even negative traits still usually result in positive productivity, so there is little reason to delay expansion by over-selecting citizens when labor is already short.
Trait impact highlights
- Dexterous is extremely strong, even if paired with another negative trait.
- Clumsy has a large penalty, especially for outdoor work such as gathering posts and hunting grounds.
- Early on, other positive traits can compete with Dexterous, but in the endgame Dexterous is one of the best overall traits.
Endgame labor considerations
Not all jobs benefit equally from every citizen.
- Outdoor labor is a better fit for clumsy citizens.
- High-value production chains can heavily skew apparent wealth generation, especially when gold minting is included.
- When judging productivity, consider both the value produced and the maintenance costs of food, lifestyle items, and service consumption.
Moving toward completion
Once the weasel attack is behind you, the city enters the final stretch. The remaining work is about finishing the monument, sustaining your economy, and aligning your infrastructure with the victory route you have chosen. This is the stage where your choices in trade, industry, power, and citizen management determine how smoothly the campaign ends.
