Citizens level up by gaining experience from working, and each level increases their core performance in a very direct way. Leveling is one of the most important long-term growth systems in 巨大城市 because it raises carrying power, damage, movement speed, talent, intelligence, and experience gain at the same time.
How citizens gain experience
Citizens gain 1 experience every 5 minutes while doing work related to their corresponding ability. This base gain is then modified by experience gain bonuses, including intelligence-related effects.
The Intelligent trait increases EXP gain, and the Foolish trait affects EXP gain as well. Experience gain can also be increased by other effects, such as learning bonuses.
Experience required to level up
The amount of experience needed rises quickly as citizens advance:
- Level 0 → 100
- Level 1 → 100
- Level 2 → 200
- Level 3 → 300
- Level 4 → 500
- Level 5 → 800
- Level 6 → 1300
- Level 7 → 2100
- Level 8 → 3400
- Level 9 → 5500
- Level 10 → 8900
- Level 11 and later → 10000
What level increases
Every level grants bonuses to several stats at once:
- Strength level increases carrying capacity and attack power
- Talent level increases with level
- Intelligence level increases with level
- Movement speed rises by small steps
- EXP gain rises by small steps

Boosting experience gain
Because citizens only earn experience through work, increasing EXP gain is the most direct way to speed up leveling.

Learning bonuses

- 熟睡のための子守唄: sleeping citizens in range gain +30% EXP gain for 12 hours
- Cooldown: 18 hours
The learning bonuses are useful, but the sleeping bonus is limited in duration, and the passive bonus is small.
