High-Vis Vest

The High-Vis Vest is a wearable item that appears in multiple areas across Abiotic Factor and can also be obtained through trading. It is one of the more common environmental clothing finds, with at least two color variants visible in the game, including a blue variant found only in a specific Reactor-area spawn.

Players can obtain a High-Vis Vest by trading a Super Tomato with Grayson. Beyond that, it is found as loose loot in several locations throughout Manufacturing West, Hydroplant, and Reactor, making it easy to miss in exploration-heavy runs but possible to collect from a wide range of progression zones.

Known spawn locations include:

• Near the crashed car and the green door leading to the Garage and Supply Room
• Inside the Supply Room
• In the mines area near the green pipe, where an Optic Lens is needed
• Inside Shipping, in the same room as Hank Kettle
• Inside Shipping, near the Fibre Optic Cable requirement in the room leading to Alloy Handling
• In the Mapping Center, in the large room with three grouped Order enemies
• In the mines area, inside a building near a parked truck
• In the mines area, near an area with lots of water
• In the mines area, inside one of the buildings
• In the mines area, near some carts in a watery area
• In a small room near the excavators in the area where Sarah Frake and Douglas are
• Inside the Tram station
• In the Waterfall Apartments, in the room where the Voidpack recipe is found
• In the Cloud Reactor area, close to Frake; this is the only source of the blue variant

Because the vest appears in so many separate spots, it is worth checking rooms that already require traversal through industrial and maintenance spaces. Several of its spawns are tucked into rooms that are easy to overlook during a first pass, especially in the mines, Shipping, and Tram station areas.

If you are looking for the blue variant specifically, the Cloud Reactor location near Frake is the only documented source. The other listed spawns cover the standard vest variants found across the map.
