R.A.I.N. Shower

A less-than-private shower that swiftly cleanses all dirt, grime, blood and radiation from an individual who stands in it.
Overview
The R.A.I.N. Shower is a stationary hygiene unit that rapidly removes dirt, grime, blood and radiation from any character who stands inside and activates it. It functions as a combined cleansing and decontamination station: the unit requires an electrical connection and a supply of clean water to operate, and it is explicitly designed for quick, non-private use rather than for comfort or privacy.
When powered and containing at least 125 mL of clean water, a player can enter the stall and press the internal activation button to be cleansed. Each use consumes 125 mL of water and removes all radiation as well as physical contaminants on the character. The R.A.I.N. Shower stores up to 500 mL of water at once, allowing multiple successive uses before a refill is required.
The shower is refilled manually or passively. A player may pour water into the unit using a bucket or barrel by hand. Alternatively, a nearby
Practical notes and interactions:
- The unit will not operate without both power and the minimum water threshold of 125 mL; ensure a stable electrical supply and an adequate water reservoir before relying on it for decontamination.
- Because each activation consumes 125 mL, a full tank (500 mL) provides up to four complete uses before refill.
- Place the shower near high-traffic work areas, medical bays or airlocks where exposure to contaminants or radiation is most likely; pairing it with a Moisture Teleporter reduces maintenance overhead.
- The R.A.I.N. Shower removes all radiation in a single use, making it an efficient countermeasure after incidents that expose characters to ionizing sources.
- The unit offers no privacy features and functions as an instant, utilitarian cleansing station rather than a comfort amenity.
