Official description

Directly restores lost health over a period of time. This can also revive downed allies, but is not necessary. Does NOT stop bleeding or cure any other ailments.

Overview

Healing Syringe is a craftable healing item commonly found inside Medkits. As an item, it directly restores lost health over a short period when used on a character. It can also revive downed allies by applying it to them, though revival is optional rather than required. The Healing Syringe does not stop bleeding and does not cure any other ailments or status effects.

The Healing Syringe has a secondary utility as a weapon coating. In the player's inventory it can be right-clicked and the action "Apply Coating" selected; after that, left-click a weapon to apply the coating. A weapon may only hold one coating at a time. The coating itself has its own durability: each time the host weapon loses durability, the coating also loses one point. While coated, the weapon gradually recovers its durability automatically while held, and the weapon shows a cyan glow on the tip to indicate the applied effect.

All components required to craft the Healing Syringe are fully renewable. They can be obtained via farming, fishing, or gathered from resources available in Portal Worlds.

Practical notes and usage tips:

  • Use Healing Syringes to top up health over time during and after combat; the effect is progressive rather than an instant heal.
  • Apply a Healing Syringe to revive a downed teammate when repositioning or when a full revival is preferred over carrying them to a safe zone.
  • Do not rely on a Healing Syringe to stop bleeding or to remove other status effects; address those separately with bandages, antidotes, or appropriate remedies.
  • When applied as a weapon coating, the syringe grants passive durability regeneration to the weapon while it is held; this helps extend weapon life during prolonged engagements.
  • Monitor coating durability: weapon repairs and heavy usage reduce coating durability in step with weapon wear. Reapply a new Healing Syringe coating if the coating is depleted.
  • Because components are renewable and relatively easy to obtain, carrying extra Healing Syringes for both personal healing and weapon maintenance is practical and sustainable.
