Overview

Healing Briefcase is a reusable, throwable healing device that restores health to players within a radius where it lands. It appears as a deployable/healable item that must be charged between uses; after each activation it requires recharging before it can be thrown again. The device is treated in-game as a Throwing Item, so it both grants Throwing experience when deployed and interacts with Throwing-related skills and perks.

The Briefcase applies a steady passive regeneration to players inside its effective radius. Its base regeneration is 5 health every 5 seconds, which is roughly thirty times faster than the game's natural out-of-combat healing rate before other buffs or modifiers. The device only consumes battery charge while actively restoring health to players; if left activated on the ground without any players in range it does not drain its battery and can remain deployed indefinitely until needed.

Because the Healing Briefcase is classified as a throwable, it benefits from Throwing skill progression. Deploying one awards Throwing XP, and Throwing-item crafting effects apply to it: with the Throwing 12 Tinkerer effect (or equivalent crafting bonus) you craft two Briefcases per craft once that crafting tier is obtained.

Practical usage and interaction notes:

  • Throw the Briefcase into group fights or staging areas to provide area healing for teammates without requiring constant manual use.
  • It will not heal enemies; throwing it into a melee that includes hostile units is safe for teammates and will not unintentionally buff foes.
  • Since battery is only consumed while players are being healed, you can pre-place a charged Briefcase on an objective or choke and keep it ready without draining charge until allies move into range.
  • Recharge management matters: after an active healing cycle the device must be recharged before the next throw, so time recharges to coincide with lulls or safe moments.
  • Because it grants Throwing XP and benefits from Throwing-item crafting bonuses, investing in Throwing progression increases the efficiency and availability of Briefcases.

The Healing Briefcase is best used for sustained area support and objective defense where stationary, radius-based healing is more valuable than single-target or on-demand heals.
