Killer Soup

Killer Soup is a hazardous consumable item that appears as a joke-gone-wrong resource in Abiotic Factor. Despite being edible, consuming it is fatal to the player character, so it should be treated as a trap rather than a food source.

It can be obtained from several late- and mid-game locations and by salvage. The item is available by scrapping Exquisite Chains at a Repair and Salvage Station, and it can also be found in Reactors Wood Crates throughout the Reactors sector, especially in the Dusk Reactor and Gale Reactor areas. Additional sources include small campsites in Canaan, a spot near the well, Canaanites as a random drop, two Reactors Wood Crates in Shadowgate, and throughout The Train up until the train car with radioactive waste.

Killer Soup also has a few practical crafting and trading uses despite its dangerous nature:

• It is used to create Uncooked Solder when combined with Metal Scrap in a pot full of Water.
• It can be traded for Refined Carbon with a Quantum Exchanger found in Adjustment at level 3 of Cascade Laboratories.
• Because consuming it kills the player character, it should not be eaten under any circumstances unless the goal is intentional self-destruction.
