Oxidious Antefish

The Oxidious Antefish is a catchable aquatic creature found in a small set of inland and controlled-water locations. It is a target for fishing-related activities and can be interacted with like other fish-type abiotic factors in the game. The species does not currently provide any butchering loot when processed at a Chef's Counter; attempting to butcher an Oxidious Antefish at that station produces no recipe ingredients or salvage items.

Oxidious Antefish appear in three known spawn points tied to ponds and contained water features. They can be caught in:

• the pond in Far Garden,
• the Antejuice pool in Manufacturing West,
• the aquarium in the lobby of Cascade Laboratories.

Catching an Oxidious Antefish requires possession of a specific item that functions as the catch requirement. Equipping or wearing that required item increases the chance to successfully catch an Oxidious Antefish. The game treats the presence of the required item as a gating condition rather than a guaranteed success; having it equipped improves probability but does not automatically yield a catch.

Practical notes for collectors and players:

• Fish at the listed locations while ensuring the required item is in your inventory and equipped to maximize spawn and catch rates.
• The lack of butchering output makes Oxidious Antefish primarily valuable for collection, achievement tracking, aquarium display, or any mechanics that count captured specimens rather than for ingredient farming.
• Because catches depend on a required item, verify your loadout before traveling to remote spawn points to avoid wasted trips.
• The three known sites include both outdoor (Far Garden) and indoor/controlled environments (Manufacturing West Antejuice pool and Cascade Laboratories aquarium), so time-of-day or weather effects tied to outdoor fishing may not affect all spawn locations equally.

This creature functions as a specialized collectible fish with limited processing value and a small, fixed set of harvest locations.
