In accordance with trans-luminal modelling, GATE’s second perforation experiment ‘grounded’ itself in one of the largest bodies of mass in Anteverse 2 – its unfathomably old heart.

Overview

Far Garden is a small Portal World in the Office Sector, and it is usually the first Portal World most players visit. Its entrance is on Level 3 of the Office Sector, and the area is revisited once more near the end of the game. Despite its striking view and open layout, there is not much here beyond a few items, a Hologram near the exit, and a small pond that can be used for fishing.

The world is exposed to constant ambient radiation, so entering it without protection is dangerous. It is best approached with radiation protection in mind, especially if you plan to stay long enough to gather resources or fish. Because of this, Far Garden is generally a poor candidate for building a base, even though its calm terrain may make it look appealing.

A few practical notes make the area easier to handle:

  • Bring or wear radiation protection before spending any real time here.
  • Side paths allow the player to slip past the Exor Monks without engaging them.
  • There are only two Exor Monks in the area, and one can be avoided entirely because it faces away from the player.
  • If you want to fish in the pond, a later-game tool can be used to make longer stays easier.
  • Some of the surrounding pillars are solid and can contain harvestable Anteverse Wheat.
  • A Natural Beehive can appear here, making this the first area in the game where it can be found.

Far Garden also contains a collectible hidden behind the second GATE equipment box on the right side, the one associated with Manse’s log. Since the world is compact, most of its points of interest can be gathered quickly once the radiation issue is managed.

The GATE compendium describes the location as Anteverse 2A and notes that GATE’s second perforation experiment grounded itself in one of the largest bodies of mass in Anteverse 2, at its unfathomably old heart. The area’s visual design has a strong alien atmosphere, with an outlook that makes it feel more expansive than it really is, but in practice it remains a short, hazardous detour rather than a major exploration zone.
