Radfish

Radfish is a fish that can be caught in highly radioactive water sources. It appears in Radioactive Waste, including the Laboratory Roadway Access between the Security Sector and Cascade Laboratories, the Shipping area of Manufacturing West, and the small square heavily irradiated pond beneath a portal in the Buoyancy Labs section of Power Services.

It is a useful catch for radiation management. The Green Fish Liver obtained from Radfish provides one dose of Rad Resistant while removing 10 existing Rads, and Raw Radfish Filet can be cooked into Radfish Chowder, which provides 4 to 6 servings of Rad Resistant. This makes Radfish one of the more valuable fish to keep on hand when exploring contaminated areas or recovering from radiation exposure.

Radfish can also be used as bait on a fishing rod. When attached, it improves the odds of catching a Radfish and unlocks the ability to catch an additional fish type, making it part of a simple loop for sustaining or targeting radioactive-water fishing. Because its habitat is tied to irradiated pools, it is best approached with radiation protection or a plan for rapid decontamination, especially if you are fishing repeatedly for food and resistance materials.
