Xanterium Rice

Xanterium Rice is a harvestable item that can be obtained with a low chance when gathering Xanterium Rice plants. It is also found as a loose pickup in a few late-game and hidden areas, making it useful both as a food-related resource and as a plant worth revisiting if you have access to its growing spots.

Known pickup locations include Manufacturing West, where it can be found near the entrance to the Mines area after the Surface Tunnel, beside a waterfall, next to a small body of water with a waterfall near the green pipe, and near an Antejuice pool with a portal. It also appears on a balcony within the dam in Hydroplant near a GATE Security Crate, in the Cloud Reactor area of Reactors in an open field close to the radioactive waste river with a truck parked nearby, and in Residence Sector Fragments in an area with rocky formations and water.

When planted in certain varieties of Garden Plot, Xanterium Rice does not need to be replanted after harvesting. Instead, harvesting it resets the plant to a 5/5 growth stage, so it only needs to regrow one cycle rather than starting over from the beginning. This makes it a sustainable crop once you have a suitable plot and seed source, since repeated harvests can be maintained without replacing the plant each time.
