Overview

Kitchen Stove is an interactable kitchen fixture found in several human-made interiors across the world. It is not a portable item; instead, it appears as part of a room’s furnishings and can be used or repaired depending on the location. In some places, the stove is already present and functional, while in others it requires a Reinforced Hose to repair before it can be interacted with properly.

Kitchen Stove can be found in a few different areas:

  • Office Sector, in the Data Farm kitchen/break room near the pool, where it requires repair with a Reinforced Hose.
  • Office Sector level 3, in the kitchen near the Security Robot charging pod, where it also requires repair with a Reinforced Hose.
  • Flathill, inside the ice cream shop’s “employees only” back room.
  • Flathill, in the lower area of the tall building that leads to the third Power Cell, where it requires repair with a Reinforced Hose.
  • Furniture Store 3, in the furniture store’s kitchen department.
  • Hydroplant, in the small cafeteria room near the submarine pen below the building with the power generators.

Because it appears in multiple supply and residential-style spaces, Kitchen Stove is best thought of as a set dressing object that reinforces the game’s improvised, scavenged environment. Its presence often marks a place where people once lived, worked, or cooked, and its repair requirement in several locations suggests that some of these fixtures are meant to be restored rather than merely observed.

Practical notes:

  • If a Kitchen Stove is damaged, bring a Reinforced Hose to repair it.
  • Stoves are most likely to be encountered in break rooms, kitchens, cafeterias, and similar indoor service areas.
  • When exploring a new building, kitchen and break-room spaces are a good place to look for one, especially in Office Sector and Flathill.
  • Since the object is location-based rather than craftable, its usefulness comes from finding and restoring it in the world rather than carrying it around.
