Rook Helmet

Rook Helmet is a wearable item associated with Rooks. It is not normally found as a standard pickup; instead, it can be obtained by striking a Rook in the head with either a Blunt melee weapon or a Bullet ranged weapon. The helmet has a chance to be dislodged when the hit lands, and this can still happen even if the Rook has already been killed.

Because the drop is tied specifically to head hits, weapons that reliably connect to that area are the best way to farm it. If a Rook is already dead, it is still worth checking the body for a knocked-off helmet before leaving the area.

• Use Blunt melee weapons or Bullet ranged weapons to target the head.
• The helmet may be knocked off after the Rook dies, so loot the corpse as well as the ground nearby.
• Since the drop is chance-based, repeated head hits may be needed.
