Riot Shield

The Riot Shield is a heavy shield-class armament used for defense against ranged threats. It can deflect most projectiles, but doing so consumes its durability, making it a strong but finite tool rather than a permanent defense.

It has no special effects beyond its projectile-blocking function. Riot Shields can be harvested from dead Security Robots, Containment Robots, Defense Robots, and Corrupted Robots, making robot encounters one of the main ways to obtain one.

Because it is a heavy shield, it is best used when expecting sustained gunfire or other projectile attacks. Its value lies in reducing incoming damage while preserving the user’s position, but players should keep an eye on durability so they do not rely on it as an all-purpose solution.
